The Parish Pastoral Council is a collaborative body of the parish pastoral staff, members of the parish and the pastor whose purpose is the promotion of the mission of Jesus Christ and His Church. The members, who are selected through a discernment process, consist of one representative from each organization/ministry within the parish. The Council works closely with the pastor and helps identify, implement and evaluate the pastoral initiatives and policies best suited for Holy Name of Mary Parish. Service on the Council is a special ministry to the parish requiring an understanding of and commitment to the church in accord with the Second Vatican Council, willingness to stay current with developments in the archdiocesan and universal church and a capacity for consensual decision-making.
