Pray this week for our 16 Black Bishops, including Bishop Joseph Perry and others who have served in Chicago -- Archbishop Wilton Gregory (Atlanta, GA), Bishop George Murry (Youngstown, OH), Bishop Dominic Carmen (New Orleans, LA), Bishop Edward Braxton (Belleville, IL).   See next weeks bulletin for a list of the bishops.

Because of the holiday, the next breakfast will be on Sunday, July 19.

Hunger Walk 2009

Thanks to all who walked and contributed to the 24th Annual HUNGER WALK.

To date, $1,762 has been collected.  If you have not pledged yet, or you have made a pledge and not paid, your donation will be greatly appreciated. The deadline has been extended to Sunday, July 12, 2009.  See the bulletin for the name of the 12 walkers.

Single Moms Ministry Meeting

This new ministry group will meet today at 1pm in the Church.  All single moms are welcome.

Knights Candy Sale

This is the last Sunday for the Knights of Peter Claver’s candy sale. See one of the Knights to purchase the World’s Finest Chocolate bars for $1.00 each.

Summer Barbeque

The Knights of Peter Claver are kicking off the summer season with an 'Old Fashion Cook-Out' on Sunday.  There will be barbeque, chicken, and hot-link dinners for sale.  Combinations dinners may also be purchased.  See the flyer in the bulletin for details.
